How it works
The dosage calculator maps your paint type and gloss target onto the SEMITI product portfolio. Recommendations are based on typical industry dosage ranges drawn from formulation guides and customer trial data across the SEMITI 996 / 706 / 706W / 826D / 880 / 902 / 960 / 2310 family.
For waterborne emulsion paints, the calculator typically recommends SEMITI 706W (Chemours R-746 equivalent) for premium grades and SEMITI 902 (R-902 equivalent) for mid-tier. For exterior service, it shifts toward SEMITI 826D (Tronox CR-826 equivalent) which has the zirconia surface treatment needed for chalking resistance.
The "current loading" input compares your existing TiO2 dosage against the recommended range. If you're loading above the upper bound of the range, there's likely room to reduce TiO2 demand without losing hiding power — validate with a contrast ratio test (ISO 6504-3) on a small trial batch before scaling.
For premium paint plants doing > 500 t/year, the demand-reduction approach combined with chloride-rutile cost advantage (35–45% lower landed cost than Chemours/Tronox in Asian markets) typically generates 6-figure annual savings.
