This privacy policy describes how Shanghai Semitech New Material Co., Ltd. (上海赛迈科新材料有限公司, "we", "us") collects and processes personal data through tio2agents.com (the "Site").
1. What we collect
We collect data only when you actively share it with us through an inquiry, sample request, or order placement:
- Contact data: name, company, business email, phone / WhatsApp / WeChat number, country
- Technical inquiry data: the products and applications you're interested in, target volume, destination port, formulation specs you share with us
- Server logs: IP address, timestamp, user agent, requested URL — standard web server logs, retained 90 days for security and analytics
We do not place advertising trackers. We do use Cloudflare for DNS and SSL — Cloudflare may process IP addresses for DDoS protection per their own privacy policy.
2. How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry — prepare quotes, CoA, samples, shipping arrangements
- To send order-related communications (PI, shipping notices, B/L copies)
- To send occasional product updates if you opt in — never without explicit consent
- To comply with applicable export law and Chinese tax/finance regulations
3. Who sees it
- Our internal sales and logistics teams
- Our supplier counterparties — only the specs needed to fulfill orders, not your full contact data
- Shipping/freight forwarders and customs brokers — for order fulfillment
- Cloudflare (Site infrastructure)
- Tencent Exmail (our email provider) — your email goes through Tencent Exmail's servers
4. Cross-border data transfer
Personal data submitted to us is processed in China. If you are submitting from the EU, UK, or other jurisdictions with extraterritorial privacy law (GDPR, UK-GDPR, etc.), we treat your submission as evidence of consent to cross-border transfer for the purpose of business communication. If you withdraw consent, we will delete your data on request — see Section 7.
5. Retention
- Inquiry data: retained 24 months after last contact, then deleted
- Order records: retained 7 years to meet Chinese accounting law
- Server logs: retained 90 days
6. Cookies
We use only essential session cookies for site functionality. No marketing cookies, no third-party advertising cookies.
7. Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing [email protected]. We respond within 30 days. Note that order records subject to mandatory accounting retention cannot be deleted before the 7-year horizon, but we will restrict processing on request.
