SEMITI INK-1 is a chloride-process rutile specifically engineered for printing ink applications — offset, flexo, gravure, screen, and UV inks. It is the direct counterpart to Chemours Ti-Pure R-931, the global reference grade for white printing inks.

Printing ink TiO2 has a unique performance profile. Compared with paint TiO2, inks demand: (1) faster bead-mill dispersion (typical milling time 30–60 min vs paint's 60–120 min) to reach Hegman 7+, (2) anti-screen-blinding behavior at high TiO2 loading on flexo and gravure presses, (3) consistent flow on offset press rollers without dot-gain issues, and (4) clean color in 4-color process where TiO2 acts as the opacifier in PMS opaque whites.

The ink-tuned surface treatment of SEMITI INK-1 provides all four. The dispersant pre-coating enables fast wet-out in solventborne and waterborne ink vehicles. The narrow particle size distribution prevents 220-mesh and finer flexo anilox rolls from blinding. And the tight color spec (Δb* < 0.5) means batch-to-batch color reproduction on print runs.
