SEMITI 248
Sulfate rutile for general-purpose PVC and PE compounding — economical alternative.
SEMITI 248 is a sulfate-process rutile tuned for plastics applications — interior PVC compounding, indoor PE/PP molded parts, and economy plastic masterbatch. The grade is positioned as the cost-optimized choice for plastic compounders who want a rutile-grade TiO2 but don't need the premium of chloride.
For interior plastic applications, sulfate-process TiO2 performance is essentially equivalent to chloride. The slight differences in particle size distribution and metallic impurity content rarely manifest in opaque plastic parts. The 25–30% cost advantage of sulfate is straightforward margin improvement for the compounder.
Why customers pick SEMITI 248
- 01Plastics-tuned sulfate rutile — 25% cheaper than chloride alternatives
- 02Suitable for interior PVC, PE, PP injection molding
- 03Thermal stability to 250°C — covers commodity plastic processing range

vs international reference grades
Comparisons against the international grades most commonly cross-referenced by formulators.
SEMITI 2310 has higher thermal stability (280°C vs 250°C), brighter undertone, tighter PSD. Choose 2310 for engineering plastics or premium PVC; choose 248 for commodity interior plastics where cost dominates.
